Honeydews are direct related to the rockmelon, and often confused between the two, however are much similar in taste, and seasons.
Honeydew typically like the temprates of the northern states but can be sucessfully grown in southern areas of australia.
To Strike seeds in early spring, grow them indoors for around a month before planting out, as they are frost tender.
Seeds can be sewn direct, but again in the southern states be mindfull of the cooler soils, as its not ideal conditions.
Indoors is best, then plant them out when the weather warms up. You will need to monitor pot size, indoors as they start to grow.
